Prayer is the heart and center of the spiritual life, and any desire to know God, to be conformed to the image of Christ, and to "acquire the Holy Spirit," must be rooted in prayer.  In addition to the Psalms' timeless expressions of the life of prayer, the Orthodox Church has created an incredibly vast treasure of profound and beautiful prayers/hymns, which are eloquent spiritual guides, teaching both how to pray and the content of the Faith.

These audio cassettes/CD's of chanted prayers and Psalms are intended to assist people who wish to expand and enrich their prayer life.  The uses of these cassettes are numerous: for commuters; travelers; the sight-impaired; the sick; the elderly; the homebound and those in nursing homes; and as educational tools to help children and adults to learn to pray.
